This is a particularly fine chest of drawers. The drawer construction dates it 1770 or earlier.

P rovenance: I bought it from the estate of a doctor who was originally from the Sheffield area. It had long been in his family; I suspect that it was a nursery chest.

Restoration by a master cabinetmaker has just been completed. The brass escutcheons are original. The brass drawer pulls are new, but I have the originals if you want them. It is 38 1/2" wide, 40 1/2" high and 20 deep. It has two drawers that are 10" wide and 6" high.

It has one drawer that is 14 3/4" wide and 6" high. It has one drawer that is 35 3/4" wide and 6 1/4" high. It has one drawer that is 35 3/4" wide and 8 3/4" high. It has one drawer that is 35 3/4" wide and 10 1/4" high. The feet are 5 1/2 high.

Location: Vancouver's North Shore. Or you can hire your own mover. Regardless, I will make sure that the whole piece is properly packed. Its location is Vancouver's North Shore. The easiest way to get it is to have someone in the Seattle-Vancouver corridor pick it up.
