The open cabinet is situated over three drawers, each hand dovetailed with a single stamped brass ovular pull for the drawers. These have rather unusual construction with heavy applied runners with routed grooves into which the drawer bottom has been set, this an early stained plywood. The smooth grains in the mahogany are quite attractive, creating a pleasing array that captures light rather brilliantly. All three drawers and both doors are inlaid with brass and silver reeded moldings. The armoire rests over bun-turned front feet and bracket back feet.It is a convenient piece that is relatively restrained in dimension while offering adequate storage space in the deep drawers and shelved organization in the cabinet. Measurements: 61 3/4" H x 19 5/8" D x 38 1/2 W. Condition Report: Silver & brass mounts with some bending and denting; cracks at the corners of the top; no key, the right door does not latch without one; drawer blades with joint separations and cracking on right and left sides; some replacements to the back feet; veneer chips around base edges; drawers slide a bit rough.
