RARE Antique Victorian Secretary Desk Chippendale Style With Chest of Drawers

Exceedingly rare Chippendale style Chest of drawers Secretary desk. This piece is an enigma! I have never seen a secretary desk flat faced as a drawer chest! It has accurate looking Early American handles.

The desk portion is the 2nd drawer from the top which opens and pulls out with pigeon holes behind it. It is 46 inches tall 32 inches wide and 18 inches deep.

All the rest of the drawers are fully functional. They do not have the rough hewn beveled drawer bottoms typical of Early American so I believe it to be a Victorian era piece. It looks like Mahogany but Im not a wood expert. The wood on the back looks some what hand hewn with old style nails and corner brads. I can find no other like it. Overall it is in excellent condition and very sturdy.

The finish is better tan images suggest. Not new by any means but pretty good considering its age. I believe this to be an important piece as its structure is unique from what I can find.
