Miniature Mahogany Two Drawer Chest with Hairy Paw Feet

This miniature chest measures 17" tall 19 1/8" wide and 12 1/4 deep. It is made of mixed woods with the drawer fronts having figured mahogany veneer.

The dovetailed drawers are flanked by 1/2 turned pilasters. The chest is raised on hairy paw feet in the front and turned legs on the back. The chest retains its original glass pulls, two of whom have pieces broken off.

There is a 4 age crack and other scratches to the top consistent with age and use. The chest has been refinished. An inscription on the back in chalk is not readily discernible, but appears to suggest the chest was given to Martha Robinson by Mary Rautt on Tuesday April 25,'97.
