Kindel Furniture Winterthur Collection CONNECTICUT CHEST OF DRAWERS Shell Front

Store Item: KINDEL Winterthur Collection Mahogany Lowboy Ball and Claw Feet Chippendale. Description: Copied from a block front chest made in Connecticut circa 1760, the chest was displayed in the Essex Room in Winterthur.

Chest features fluted pilasters, dentils at the top of the chest and base, hand carved raised and recessed shells, fillet moldings outline the three drawer fronts, chest rest on ogee bracket feet. Kindel was awarded a license to reproduce important examples of furniture from du Pont's collection found in Winterthur in 1983.

After receiving the license, Kindel sought to recreate the best of kind examples due to their complexity, authenticity and craftsmanship in the museum. Kindel used the highest standards to recreate exact replicates of the originals. Each piece was hand made and hand finished. The Kindel Winterthur Collection represents the finest furniture made in the United States. Condition Report: Very Good condition with light scuffs and scratches, showpiece in fantastic condition. Measurements: 35.75" H X 40.25" W X 20 D.
