A fine example of a Federal Sheraton bow front chest with conforming top with turret corners surmounting a case with four dovetailed graduated drawers featuring beautiful delicate swag foliate inlay with quarter fan inlay on each drawer front, along with bird decorated brasses and chamfered bottoms, flanked by reeded corner columns, a nicely shaped skirt, all supported by four round turned legs. The chest dates to the early 19th century and is in very good condition, with minor surface imperfections, shrinkage cracks, and light wear commensurate with age and use. Dimensions: 41 in H x 46 in W x 23.75 in D. A local family business since 1983.
