Empire Flaming Mahogany Antique Chest of Drawers (Early 1800s). Large Empire Carved Chest of Drawers with Lions Feet and Brass Hardware. This stately Empire style chest of drawers from the early 1800s features ornately carved lions feet at the front, four generous drawers, pillar details and oval brass hardware.
Each drawer has a lock, but no key available. Drawers are sturdy, open and close nicely, and reveal the pre-Civil War dove tail joinery. It has a rich, dark flaming mahogany veneer.
Its 45 high, 46 wide, and 22 deep. There are hairline scratches on the top and small bits of veneer missing, all seen by zooming in on the photos.
