CENTURY FURNITURE CHIPPENDALE MAHOGANY ARMOIRE WITH BOMBAY BASE - HOUSES CLOTHING OR TV. Elegance and impeccable taste are beautifully expressed in this 18th century armoire. This impressive "made in America" armoire by Century Furniture (one of America's finest furniture makers) has a Bombay chest style base with classic intricate carving. The doors on the upper portion of this stunning armoire boast large oval swirly/mottled mahogany veneers bordered by raised mahogany banding against crotch mahogany veneers. The classic Chippendale broken pediment top with finely carved fretwork complete the timeless look.

Inside the upper portion there is a removable shelving unit. Currently, the shelving unit is inside but resting on felt so as to not cause the inside to become scratched.

This one piece shelving unit can be removed and a television can be placed inside if you so choose. This magnificent piece would be a focal point of any bedroom.

I have yet to see another one of these stately armoires for sale in a very long time. I found one small dent on the left side which I pointed out in a photograph. The doors open smoothly, the hinges are tight and work as designed.
