This is an absolutely breathtaking and HUGE antique 19th century American Empire flame mahogany chest. It is solid, sturdy, and spacious! It features six well-constructed dovetailed and padded drawers with dovetailing consistent with the time period, stunning bun feet, beautiful columns and carvings, and plenty of surface space. The top drawer is positioned a little further out from the other drawers in the classic American Empire style. Amazing shape for its age, although it does have some cosmetic imperfections consistent with that age. Chips to veneer, missing one of the lock cover (second drawer from bottom), does not include key, has some separation on sides and top that does not affect structural integrity.
