1800's Miniature Georgian Mahogany Burl Wood Chest of Drawers Dresser Child Doll. This is a good quality antique Georgian English?? Chest of drawers, constructed of solid hard woods with BURL mahogany veneer incorporated on three drawers, featuring small proportions, circa 1810, in excellent condition. The chest is small enough to be used as a large Jewelry box on your personal dresser. The top of the chest of drawers incorporates a lovely single-plank piece of solid mahogany, edged with reeded moldings, with a bank of three wide graduated drawers below.
The drawer fronts display fine burl fronts with swirl detail. The 2 top drawers which incorporate old period replacement round wood pull handles. The drawers are constructed with traditional hand-dovetail joints and pine & Oak drawer linings; they run smoothly and close flush to the frame.
The bottom drawer retains it's original brass lever lock, which is in good working condition, with a working key. The mahogany chest stands on 4 solid round bun shaped mahogany feet. The back of the chest features the original pine back boards.
The Georgian chest of drawers has been cleaned and traditionally French polished by hand to a professional standard, therefore the patination and colour of an excellent standard. The Georgian chest of drawers stands firm on the ground, is solid in joint and ready to use. Size It is 13" long 8 1/2" tall and 8 deep. Condition In great condition, there is some veneer loss as shown.
