Reproduced from an English original circa 1740, this chest was built in a desirable small size in the late baroque style. Handsome brasses and fine grained mahogany offer simple lines and versatility.
The top slides out for use as a writing surface or dressing table. Graduated drawers increase in size from top to bottom. Side handles facilitate portability, an important consideration for 18th century households.
Meticulously copied from the original found in the Colonial Williamsburg Collection. Extremely well constructed and an extremely high end piece. Condition Report: Excellent original finish, has some light scuffs and scratches as expected with usage. Measurements: 29.25" H X 30" W X 17.5 D.
