French Louis XV Parquetry Mahogany Bronze Ormolu Bombe Chest Of Drawers Commode

A gorgeous, exquisitely crafted antique Louis XV style mahogany inlaid commode ornamented with chiseled and gilded bronze throughout. Hand crafted in France during the early 20th century, having serpentine shaped marble top with moulded edge, above the bombe form parquetry mahogany case, fitted with two dovetailed drawers, each having intricate cross-banding inlay and ornate ormolu escutcheon at center, the drawers opening thanks to the original scrolled gilt-bronze pulls, that are flanked by, and above, the highly decorative fine gilt-bronze ormolu mounts, rising on cabriole legs, the front ending in gilt-bronze sabots.

Cleaned, waxed, and ready for immediate use. Dimensions (approx): 31.5"h, 24.25"w, 15.25d.
