Antique George III Tallboy Chest on Chest. This fine mahogany chest on chest is a magnificent piece of history. It has a beautiful, rich, butterscotch color that stands out in any light.

It has a molded and dentilled cornice above two short and three long graduated drawers. The drawers are flanked by fluted canted corner terminals, with the lower section being comprised of a slide and three long drawers, on shaped bracket feet. A truly wonderful Georgian statement piece that can be yours today! Condition : This piece is in excellent condition.

It was likely a bedroom piece that saw very little use or movement over its many years of history. The drawers all slide free and clean. There are no keys and the status of the locks is unknown.

There is a small repaired gouge on the slide. There are two small compression cracks on the right side of the piece. While the brass is likely replacement, is of the period. There are other minor dings, dents, cracks, scratches and surface blemishes that one would expect to find on an genuine piece of antique furniture of this age.
